Primary Card vs Secondary Card
How it works
Primary Card:
- It's default card for all payments
- Used as priority for renewals
- Used for upgrades and add-ons
Secondary Card (backup):
- Used only if payment fails on primary card
- Additional security in case of problem
- Prevents service interruption
Set which card is Primary
To change primary card:
- When adding new card: select "Primary Card"
- New card automatically becomes primary
- Old primary card becomes secondary
Cannot have 2 primary cards:
- Only one card can be primary at a time
- Others are automatically secondary
Remove card
Procedure
Steps:
- In your card list
- Find card to remove
- Click removal icon (trash or cross)
- Confirm deletion
Important limitation
You can **never remove all your cards:**
- At minimum 1 card must remain registered on your account
- This card can be primary or secondary
- Novalya account always requires at least one payment card
To change card:
- Add your new card
- Set it as primary card
- You can then remove old one (if it's not the last)
Recommendations
Best practices
Add backup card:
- Prevents service interruptions
- Secures your automatic renewals
- Useful if your primary card expires
Check regularly:
- Expiration dates of your cards
- That your primary card is still valid
- Update before expiration
Before traveling abroad:
- Check that your international payments are authorized
- Or add backup card without restrictions
What happens in case of payment failure
Automatic attempt on secondary card
If payment fails on your primary card:
Automatic process:
- Novalya attempts payment on primary card
- If fails → automatic attempt on secondary card
- If also fails → you're notified
Recommended actions if failure:
- Add new valid card
- Check reasons for failure
- Relaunch payment if needed
