Why does Novalya stop during campaign?

Why does Novalya stop during campaign?

Reading time: 3 min

Quick summary

Campaign can stop if Chrome closes, session disconnects, Meta applies restriction, multiple consecutive failures occur, or source has no more available profiles.

Chrome closed or sleep mode

Chrome must stay open

If Chrome closes or computer goes to sleep during campaign:

  • Campaign interrupts immediately
  • Novalya can no longer execute actions

Solution:

Leave Chrome open:

  • Don't close Chrome during campaign
  • Don't close Facebook/Instagram tab
  • Keep computer on

Disable sleep:

  • Windows: Settings > System > Power > Sleep: Never
  • Mac: System Preferences > Energy Saver > Disable sleep

Check internet connection:

  • Stable connection required
  • If internet cut → campaign stops

See article: Why must Chrome stay open during Novalya use?

Disconnected session

Facebook/Instagram logged out

If Facebook or Instagram disconnects your session during campaign:

  • Novalya can no longer execute actions
  • Campaign interrupts

Possible causes:

  • Cookies automatically deleted
  • Expired session
  • Connection from another device
  • Password change

Solution:

  1. Open Facebook/Instagram directly in Chrome
  2. Reconnect if needed
  3. Check session is active
  4. Reconnect to Novalya if asked
  5. Relaunch new campaign

After disconnection, you must relaunch new campaign. Interrupted campaign won't resume automatically.

Meta restriction

Facebook/Instagram limits actions

If Meta applies limitation during campaign:

  • Some sends fail
  • Campaign may automatically interrupt

Restriction signs:

  • Meta notification about limitation
  • Repeated error messages
  • Blocked actions

Solution:

  1. Check your Facebook/Instagram notifications
  2. If visible restriction: wait for lift (30 min to few hours)
  3. Don't relaunch immediately
  4. Resume gradually with:
  • Reduced volume (10-20 instead of 50)
  • Longer interval (Secured)

Automatic stop after multiple failures

Built-in security

If multiple actions fail consecutively, Novalya automatically stops campaign to:

  • Avoid repeated unnecessary actions
  • Protect your account
  • Prevent Meta restrictions

Number of failures before stop:

  • Variable depending on context
  • Generally 5-10 consecutive failures

Solution:

  1. Identify failure cause:
  • Session disconnected?
  • Meta restriction?
  • Extension problem?
  1. Correct problem
  2. Wait 10-15 minutes
  3. Relaunch with reduced volume (10-20)

Recommended checks:

  • Chrome open and active sessions
  • No Meta restriction
  • Functional extension

See article: How to solve Chrome extension problems?

Campaign has no more available profiles

Source depleted according to filters

According to your filters (gender, keywords, advanced options, exclusions), Novalya may find fewer profiles than expected.

Example:

  • Configured volume: 50 messages
  • Eligible profiles found: 23
  • Result: Campaign stops after 23 sends

Possible causes:

  • Too strict filters
  • Many profiles already targeted ("Already targeted" option enabled)
  • Many existing conversations ("Existing conversation" option enabled)
  • Too small source (group with few members)

Solutions:

Broaden filters:

  • Disable some exclusions
  • Broaden gender criteria
  • Remove too specific keywords

Test on another source:

  • Choose larger group
  • Test on post with more interactions
  • Change source

Temporarily disable advanced options:

  • "Already targeted by Novalya": disable if retargeting
  • "Existing conversation": disable if relaunching

30-second checklist

Before relaunching campaign:

✅ Chrome open

✅ No active sleep

✅ Active Facebook/Instagram session

✅ No visible Meta restriction

✅ Available profiles (not too strict filters)

✅ Functional extension

If campaign still stops:

→ Follow extension debugging procedure

Problem with tags/pipelines

Tag not working

Sometimes campaign can stop because tag (pipeline) isn't working properly.

Symptoms:

  • Campaign stops without apparent reason
  • No visible Meta restriction
  • Chrome open and active sessions

Diagnostic solution:

Test without tag:

  1. Relaunch same campaign
  2. Don't check ANY tag/pipeline
  3. Launch campaign

If it works without tag:

  • Problem comes from tag
  • Contact support specifying:
  • Exact name of concerned tag
  • Campaign name
  • Configuration screenshot

If it still doesn't work:

  • Problem doesn't come from tag
  • Continue other checks

Contact support

Provide maximum information

If problem persists:

Essential information:

  • Screenshots of problem
  • Screenshot of FB/IG tab (click top left)
  • Exact name of concerned campaign
  • Tag/pipeline name if tag problem
  • Steps already tested
  • Test result without tag

Goal is to isolate problem. More information you give, faster support can solve bug.

FAQ

Campaign always stops at same message number?

This can indicate source limitation (not enough eligible profiles) or Meta restriction triggered at this volume. Reduce volume.

Can I resume stopped campaign?

No, you must relaunch new campaign. Novalya doesn't automatically resume interrupted campaign.

How long to wait before relaunching after stop?

If stop by consecutive failures: wait 10-15 minutes. If Meta restriction: wait 30 minutes to few hours.

How to know why my campaign stopped?

Check in order: Chrome closed? Session disconnected? Meta notification? Quota depleted? If nothing visible, probably consecutive failures.
