# How does proration work during upgrade?

## Read the actual adjustment amount

A change of offer, period or quantity may involve proration, credits or other adjustments. **There is no fixed amount that applies to every change.** Review the actual summary shown before confirmation.

## Check these details

- Requested tier and unit price.
- Monthly or yearly period and purchased slot quantity.
- Effective date and remaining period used in the calculation.
- Discounts, prorated charges, credits and taxes actually shown.
- Amount due now, next renewal date and next renewal amount.

Unit price for the period × purchased slots explains the base amount; it is not enough to calculate the final change amount on its own. Connected account count, instalment count and a training line do not replace your subscription quantity.

## Before confirming

If the summary is missing, looks inconsistent or does not explain its credits and charges, ask support to check before confirming. Keep the invoice afterwards and compare it with the summary. This article does not guarantee a new renewal date or an automatic refund.
